DEVIATION

THESE ARE THE LEVELS

2017 marks the 10th anniversary of Deviation, and to celebrate, we have a very special year ahead planned.

Ten parties locally, Ten parties globally, a return to Carnival, a compilation & book, festival stages, club takeovers and a 10th birthday party to remember.

For this landmark year we have decided to return to our roots. For those that remember the magic of Gramaphone and the music and memories that were created there, we will be taking it back to that original feeling and formula at our new residency home in East London. 100% independent, 100% Deviation curated and a reconnection with the music and nightlife community that we helped bring together, who in turn helped to shape the night itself.

The first of our 10 London residency parties will happen at Mick’s Garage in Hackney on 1st April and we’ll be celebrating all year round on the first Saturday of each month. In London we’ll also be taking over some bigger club spaces for our bank holiday special one off events, and we'll be returning to the scene of last year’s incredible Notting Hill Carnival stage with the Deviation sound system in August. As our night started in October 2007, we’ll be putting together a 10th birthday event on 14th October that will be one to remember. Save the date now...

We have already begun our series of global events this month in San Francisco at 1015 Fulsom and in LA at Lot 613. Over the course of the year we’ll be bringing the Deviation experience to Seoul, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Berlin, Moscow, Amsterdam, Oslo, Paris and more, as well as continuing our quarterly residency in New York.

Over the course of 2017 we are excited to reveal some collaborations with some of our favourite brands in both clothing and audio products, and will be presenting a Deviation classics compilation along with a book of photographs from the last 10 years.

We’d like to take a moment to say thank you for the continued support over the decade. Whether you have discovered Deviation recently, were there from the very first basement session at Gramaphone, or you are reading this newsletter, it means you have been part of our journey in some way. And as obvious as it may seem to say, it’s the crowd that makes the party, the dancefloor that steers the session, and without you Deviation would not be the amazing event, label, experience and sound that we are proud to call 10 years old.

We look forward to celebrating with you.

See you on the dancefloor.
